Platform capabilities

End-to-end warehouse control.

Follow an order from the picking queue to the customer's door.

1

Pick

The next-order queue is ordered by carriage priority. A picker claims an order, scans a tote, and walks a route ordered by location with quantity confirmation. Orders can be suspended and released, and pickers can pick against a parked trade-counter basket.

Warehouse questions, answered

How does picking route planning work?

We work with you to determine the best picking routes for your warehouse and configure the system accordingly. Pick lists are ordered by location to minimise walking time, pickers claim orders so two people cannot take the same one, and totes and baskets are scanned so nothing is lost between pick and pack.

Which courier services does TABS integrate with?

Royal Mail Click & Drop, Royal Mail ProShipping, Parcelforce, DPD, DPD Local, DHL Parcel UK, DHL International, UPS, FedEx, Evri, APC Overnight, Parcelhub/Whistl, Yodel and Palletways. Labels and tracking numbers are generated from one despatch queue, and carrier rules choose the service by order value, postcode, country, hazardous contents and next-day requirement. We integrate with other couriers on demand, so speak to us if yours is not listed.

How are customers notified about their orders?

Customers are automatically emailed when their order is despatched, with tracking. You also have the option to notify them by SMS. If there are any issues with an order, you can notify the customer by email or SMS directly from the order screen.

Does it connect with my EPOS and stock control?

The warehouse module is fully integrated with TABS EPOS and stock control. Despatch updates stock levels in real time, and orders flow automatically from the till, the website and the marketplaces to the warehouse floor. Pickers can even pick against a parked trade-counter basket.

Can I capture proof of collection or delivery?

Yes, where you hand over the goods yourself. Signatures are captured on a signature pad when a customer collects at the counter, or by your own driver on local deliveries, and stored against the despatch note. This does not apply to courier deliveries, where the courier holds the proof of delivery. Certificates of conformity are generated and emailed with the despatch note where a product requires one.

Can I ship internationally?

Yes. International shipments carry customs data including commodity codes, country of origin and values, with a CN22 layout. Multi-parcel shipments and up to eight shipping printers are supported.
